i'm a summer baby.....i live for summer. i had convinced myself, living in indiana for 6 years, that the weather was the same there. ha. apparently that was some type of coping mechanism to deal with the so not east coast weather. every weekend here has been sunny and hot. i've got my tan on (thank you baby pool) and my AC on blast.
i love the freedom of summer....like as in i only have to slip on my flip flops right quick to go outside and check the mail. not that i have to go outside and check the mail, or that i can do anything quick as it relates to going outside since i have two humans...but that was the first thing that popped into my single on the inside head.
one of my favorite summerisms are summer nights....driving with the windows down, the sounds of the cicadas (right?) outside.....and most of all no sweaters required!
my only dislike of summer, especially in these parts, are the fecking mosquitos. i'm like a magnet for those things and apparently my offspring have my same blood type. poor nola has two giant ones on her face. it looks like homegirl was in a baby fight at the babysitters and the other baby won.
so with that said i dedicate this post to nola bean and all her beautifulness.....oh and i'll throw one in of miss thang...

You left some in Indiana too! Somehow they clustered up and made a tramp stamp on my back. It's hot!
They really are beautiful. I agree with you about the warm summer nights. I find that disconcerting about the desert (my grandmother used to live in Palm Springs and my husband is from Phoenix). It's hot during the day and cold at night. I don't like to have to dress for two different seasons within 24 hours....
The cuteness is insane.
We counted 46 mosquito bites on our little 3 year old at the time Lucy, while on vacation a couple of years ago. That was pathetic.
They wouldn't let me play connect the dots.
A-holes.
